The James Beattie Charitable Trust has been very kind and has helped us with many projects. The 1st Bilston Scouts is the oldest scout group in the World, and is based in Prouds Lane Bilston.

The group originally met in a pig sty on the former Laburnums site moving, next door to Prouds lane Playing Fields some time later. Then it moved into a 1914-18 War Hut from Cannock Chase and finally moving into a brick building in 1970. The building has been extended twice.

We have recently purchased the land where our building is and the latest donation will help for fencing on site so we are self contained and secure.

We are trying to raise further funds to provide secure car parking and we are very grateful to the Trust for its support.
