Bilbrook Initiatives Hub

On behalf of my committee, to the board of trustees, we want to express our gratitude for the funding that you very generously donated to the Hub to help support us in our hot meal provision scheme during the current pandemic crisis.
Last week we delivered 124 meals and this week we expected to deliver more.
So far during lockdown we have seen the demand for meals increase by 20% every week, with Sunday lunch being the most popular!
We are grateful to have George and Helen preparing the meals every day for those who need them, and as you can see, where we can, meals are delivered by bicycle!
Many thanks again.
Kindest regards

Christians Against Poverty

Jean Deakin CAP Wolverhampton Centre Manager and Graham Phillips Senior Pastor LifeSpring Church with Stuart Anderson MP

Thank you for your generous donation to our CAP centre based at LifeSpring Church in Wolverhampton. LifeSpring partnered with Christians Against Poverty 10 years ago to provide debt advice and support to some of the most vulnerable people in our city.

Since opening in 2010 we have visited individuals and families to offer them help to become debt free through our debt repayment plan or insolvency advice.

We take a holistic approach and whilst never paying anyone’s debts for them, your donation will help with associated issues such as lack of food, loneliness, essential household items and clothing.

Some of the recent comments from clients:

“My words are not enough to describe the joy you brought me.”

“Thank you for listening to me, consoling me and inspiring me when I felt vulnerable and alone. You restored my faith in life and I am truly grateful.”

1st Bilston Scout Group

To the Trustees of the James Beattie Charitable Trust

Thank you for your kind donation for the 1st Bilston Scout Group.

The James Beattie Trust has kindly supported the 1st Bilston Group for over 20 Years on funding for different projects but mainly with the development of our Scout Headquarters in Bilston. The 1st Bilston is one of the oldest Scout Groups in the world and have been on the site in Bilston for over 100 Years

The Scout Headquarters have continued to change over the time from a former pig sty in the Laburhams Hall to a former 1st World War hall to a purpose brick building. A few years ago the building was set on fire by vandals and the land leased. We now own the building and land and due to other buildings in the area we have to secure the site for generations to come

Thanks again

Many Thanks
