Listening Books

The James Beattie Trust has supported Listening Books in delivering our audiobook lending service to many people in the local community who find it difficult or impossible to read print due to an impairment, such as arthritis, glaucoma or dyslexia.  Such fantastic support has helped to spread the joy of reading throughout Wolverhampton via the spoken word.’

We very much appreciate the Trust’s loyal support for our work.

Kind regards

FRIENDS OF BILSTON TOWN HALL GROUP MEMBERS

FRIENDS OF BILSTON TOWN HALL was formed 7 years ago in order to bring cinema to Bilston Town Hall for the benefit of local townspeople.

A SECTION OF ONE OF THE PLANTED GARDEN BEDS

In 2019, as part of the Bilston in Bloom competition, the group undertook to tidy and replant a neglected section of the gardens adjacent to the Town Hall. We removed all the weeds, brambles and anti-social detritus, raising funds to transform the previously abandoned eyesore into a pleasant, cultivated area. It was very rewarding being made aware by the comments of passers-by of the pride and interest that the gardens raised in the immediate locale. Due to the help and support of James Beattie Trust our group can continue to improve our specified area within Bilston during 2020 and beyond.
